COVID-19 Business Continuity Plan

In response to the second wave of COVID-19 outbreak across the nation, we have devised a business continuity response at all levels of our organization in order to protect the health and safety of our employees and as well as our customers.

As per the latest instructions from Karnataka Government Secretariat, Bengaluru (No RD 158 TNR 2020, dated 20-04-2021 and 26-04-2021), we obligate to adhere to the instructions stated in it. Considering our testing operations as essential services, we are continually working in order to support industries with partial staff strength at the premises without much disruptions in our services. Social distancing is strictly followed at the work place and all internal meetings are conducted only through online mode.

Employee safety

The following safety protocols and etiquettes will apply:

  1. Implementation of strict personal hygiene protocols for all employees and customers in accordance with World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines and Ministry of Health and family welfare (MOHFW).
  2. Instructions to all employees and enforcement of social distancing recommendations of WHO
    both within the facility and those of our clients.
  3. Immediate notification of any positive cases of COVID-19 to our HR team.
  4. Unavoidable business visits and other operatives performing services at customer or third-party
    premises are required to comply with all hygiene guidelines and to wear the appropriate PPE. 5. 5.
  5. Employee returning back from long leave or after traveling from out of the city/state are being sent for testing Covid-19 at authorized hospitals.
  6. Any individual entering inside the premises, are being screened for their body temperature and provided with hand sanitizer before entering their work areas.
  7. All employees are included in the vaccination drive conducted by the regional Health authorities
  8. Rapid action protocol with other instructions are circulated and to be strictly adhered to (DOCUMENT NOT COMPLETE)

Ensuring continuity of critical activities

To ensure that we can meet our customer service level requirements we have taken additional measures to safeguard our critical activities in the laboratory and in the field, including the following:

  1. All our business development and marketing team are continuing to work from home, avoiding any physical means of contact with our customers.
  2. Business / Customer visits in person are evaded and all such meetings are done through phone and web services, as required.
  3. All samples received at the premises for testing are being sanitized prior acceptance.
  4. The samples will be stored at required temperature as per the product category.
  5. These sanitized samples are being received by the customer services team and taken forward for booking in LIMS and subsequently transferred to the lab for analysis
  6. While handling samples, all the staff are insisted to use appropriate PPES to protect face and hands which comes in contact with the sample.
  7. The criticality and urgency of the sample analysis is being assessed by the concerned laboratory heads and accordingly analysis is being planned and executed
  8. Sampling activity at customers site is restricted only within the Bangalore city following strict safety measures
  9. Maintenance team is in place to ensure 24 hr. uninterrupted power supply to the instruments and servers/IT room.
  10. All lab managers, Information Technology (IT) team, Client Service Department (CSD) and other
    relevant support functions are working from home to get engaged in customer's
    communications, release of reports and collections etc.
  11. Technical Support Department (TSD) team will engage at least one personnel in shifts to ensure
    incessant operations of the instruments and equipment's installed at our premises.
  12. The physical activities (including monitoring of laboratory site, facilities, sample receipt and
    employees) at the premises will be monitored regularly by managerial staff through CCTV
    footages.
  13. Security and maintenance services are available at the premises 24 x 7.
  14. All staff members have been insisted to install Aarogya Setu Application in their mobile phones
    as directed by State Government
  15. All of our staff have been vaccinated with CoviShield vaccine from Health Department,
    Government of Karnataka, including contract workers and as well as security staff

Business continuity and evolution of measures

The rapid spread of second wave of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak across the country and the varied measures taken by central and state governments, are being constantly monitored and updated as necessary. Currently, we have been able to continue operations with limited resources without completely halting the laboratory testing activities
